Plas yn Llangoed : History of the house
My parents found this big old fallen down, bird filled house they fell in love when I was just five years old. It was old and broken, and uncared for but wow what views of the Menai Strait and Snowdonia! They thought it was the most special place on earth and so they bought it.
I believe their romantic view of what life could be helped them not get too overwhelmed by the sheer state of dilapidation and work needed to restore the house and make it a home. Over the next 40 years my family lovingly restored this magnificent house which was very nearly lost forever.
A few years ago myself, husband Antony (Trigger) and our children Dan and Lizzie, moved into Plas yn Llangoed along with my parents who were already in residence with the idea of sharing the fields with like-minded people and creating an eco-campsite for a few months each summer for people to enjoy.
We think everyone should experience the beauty and the nature of Anglesey and we hope that once you have visited our beautiful location you will want to come back year after year.
